The IBENS is seeking to recruit 2 group leaders in Developmental Biology

The Institute of Biology of the École Normale Supérieure (IBENS) is seeking two group leaders (junior and/or senior) in the field of developmental biology, including its interfaces with transcriptomics, systems biology, cell biology, stem cell biology or physiology. Interest in the nervous system will be appreciated, although not a prerequisite.
The IBENS regroups all of the research teams and scientific facilities of the Department of Biology, which is also in charge of teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The IBENS is affiliated to the CNRS and INSERM institutional bodies in addition to the ENS and it is composed of 29 independent research groups. There are four main research axes : Developmental Biology, Neuroscience, Functional Genomics and Ecology and Evolutionary Biology. The IBENS has state-of-the-art facilities, including photonic and electron microscopy, genomics, bioinformatics, protein production platforms,plant/algae growth facilities, rodent and amphibian animal houses and a zebrafish facility.
Multidisciplinary is pervasive thanks to strong interactions within the IBENS as well as with the Departments of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Computing sciences at the ENS.
Applicants should send by email at ibens.newresearchgroups chez a CV as well as a summary of their scientific achievements and proposed research program (max 5 pages). In addition, three letters of recommendation should be emailed directly at the same address. For further information, please contact Daniele Murciano at
